Liji Badlands

Liji Badlands is situated by the Beinan River. Its geological landscape was caused by wind erosion on the mudstone surface. After being washed further by rain, the soil and stones are seriously drained, hence the bare appearance. Countless small gorges and gullies were formed by the erosion, and the result is a barren surface with no trace of greenery, just like the surface of the moon - desolation.
