| Green island, also known as Huo Shao Dao (fire burning island) in the past, is located 33km to the east of Taitung province. The Island covers about 16.2kmof land and the population is around 3,300. The distance to tour around the coast of the Island is 18km, if you feel a little adventurous why not hire a car or scooter and make the journey yourself. The island itself is made from volcanic agglomerates and the ever changing, winding coastal views are formed by weathering and seawater corrosion.The towering and majestic rocks, white beach, rare ocean bed hot springs, splendorous coral reef turn the isolated green island into a fantastic natural ocean park for the east of Taiwan. |

Green Island Lighthouse is 33.3m high with 150 stairs. At the top, you can have an picturesque view over the island.

Haishengping is located on the east of GreenIsland. The moon-shape bay is like a natural breakwater. The lofty cliff and surging wave form the most magnificent picture of coast on GreenIsland. |

Going along the trail to the south of Sunrise ocean bed hot springs, through a forest, here you are at Fanchuanbi Prairie, known as the "green carpet" of Green Island. The blue seawater and green grass together form a paradise. |

and become a part of the underwater world yourself. There are skin-diving trails and base facilities at Chaikou, Dabaisha, and Nanliao, and skin-diving shops on the island can rent you the gear you need and arrange skin-diving activities for you. |
