Liu Family’s Historic mansion

Liu Family’s historic mansion is the well known Minxiong Haunted House, located near the Yijian Mountain Cemetery in Minxiong Township. The main building was built in 1929. It was built by Liu Rongru (1881-1951), the village chief (township chief) of Minxiong Xikou Village. It is a three-storey Baroque style building with red brick walls, gorgeous and elegant. However, by some unknown reasons, the Liu family abandoned the place and so the house was left in disrepair. Now the vast courtyard is deserted and infested with weeds. There had been numerous haunted stories and that is why it had been one of the top four haunted houses in Taiwan.
